And I'll even say more, the best croissant with almonds I ate in this café, not in Paris or Nice. As you have understood I recommend here to have a croissant and dessert with macadamia nut. The only downside is that sometimes they don't have these desserts in stock, you have to ask when exactly they will be. But the rest is just great. Interiors - 5/5, service - 5/5, desserts - 5/5, coffee - 4.8/5 Thank you for a great experience ! Read Less

It was the best mee siam I have ever had! It was tasty, hot and spicy, just the way I like it. My travelling companion had the rice with daging kicap. In simple terms, it was beef in soy sauce. In reality, it was marinated with lots of other piquant spices and having it with rice was perfect. As for the delectable pastries, we sampled the red bean and walnut one. We loved it. The pastry was generously swirled with red bean paste. Our experience was so positive that we returned to the Loaf on our second morning. This time, I tried the ayam percik with rice ( a spicy, curry chicken). My friend had the chicken rice. Our pastries were the blueberry custard tart and the maple syrup round pastry. Everything we ate had flavours that were so well-balanced. Huge kudos to the chef who has been cooking such marvellous dishes. 2. The Service It is so utterly rare to be served by a team of such friendly, pleasant and accommodating staff. Special mention must be made to Izzah and Napi. They were the floor staff who served us on both days and they had excellent customer service skills. Izzah is blessed with that rare and intuitive skill of being able to anticipate her customers' needs and she pro-actively takes action before a customer has to ask for that particular service. A simple example was when she saw us attempting to cut the red bean walnut pastry into two pieces. She immediately brought us an empty plate so that we could put one half of the pastry on it. This might be such a small gesture but to me, it speaks volumes of being attentive to your customers' needs. I hope the owner or manager of The Loaf in Pantai Cenang is reading this. You have such a great staff here and I hope they get the appreciation that they well and truly deserve. Such staff are VERY hard to come by!! 3. We loved the relaxing ambience here with the pretty decor. Finally, we even made time to stop by and took away an almond croissant and a red bean walnut pastry again before boarding our flight on the 3rd morning! I shall definitely be back should I visit Langkawi again! Read Less
